Kayaking is a fun and active way to explore Ramsey County parks and enjoy the outdoors during the summer season. Parks & Recreation offers self-service kayak rentals at several regional park locations, making it easy for residents and visitors to get out on the water and experience local lakes and natural areas.

Kayak rental stations include kayaks, paddles and life jackets and are available on a first-come, first-served basis through a mobile app reservation system. Rentals are available at locations including Vadnais-Snail Regional Park, Long Lake Regional Park, Keller Regional Park and Tony Schmidt Regional Park.

Rental pricing begins at $25 for two hours, with additional hourly rental options available. The self-service system allows visitors to reserve and unlock equipment directly from their phones while visiting participating park locations.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, wear life jackets and check weather conditions before heading out on the water. Kayaking can be a great way to stay active, spend time outdoors and explore Ramsey County parks throughout the summer.

More information about locations, pricing and how to rent equipment is available on the Ramsey County Kayak Rentals page.
