Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP)

Working together for healthy communities

The Minnesota Department of Health provides funding to Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health through the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) to work with a variety of partners to improve the health of our community.

SHIP funding is focused on three goals:

  • Increasing physical activity,
  • Improving access to healthy foods,
  • Reducing the use of, and exposure to, commercial tobacco.

SHIP supported partnerships are designed to create healthier policies, systems and environments where people live, work, learn and play.
