About yard waste collection sites

Ramsey County operates seven yard waste collection sites. All sites are free and open to Ramsey County residents.

Lawncare, treecare, landscaping and other businesses hired to haul and dispose of yard waste are not permitted to use Ramsey County Yard Waste sites. See information on Commercial yard waste sites below.

Proof of residency is required to use Ramsey County yard waste sites. Residents should have their driver’s license ready if asked by the site monitor.

Mechanical or hydraulic dumping trailers and dump trucks are not allowed at Ramsey County yard waste sites - this includes both residential and commercial equipment. Power equipment is also not allowed at these sites. This includes leaf blowers, chainsaws, pruners, log splitters, wood chippers, screeners and skid steer loaders.

Note: Wood chips and wood mulch are not accepted at yard waste sites. Find disposal options

Washington County residents may use the Arden Hills, Battle Creek, Frank & Sims and White Bear Township collection sites for free. View all Ramsey County recycling and waste collection locations.
