Ramsey County Parks and Recreation is welcoming the winter season with a wide range of programs, cultural experiences and community events designed to support active living and celebrate the beauty of Minnesota’s winter landscapes. From cross-country skiing and indoor arena activities to nature programs and seasonal festivals, residents of all ages will find opportunities to learn, play and connect throughout the county.

Wilkins will set the long-term vision and strategic direction for the department and oversee programs across the full housing continuum, from homelessness prevention and emergency shelter to long-term housing stability.

The refined project that builds upon the former Purple Line with a renewed focus on community, safety, accessibility and improved transit connections for the East Side to the rest of the county.

Ramsey County has opened its first Winter Warming Space of the season to ensure residents have a safe, warm place to stay during dangerously cold weather. Winter Warming Spaces offer warmth, basic amenities and a safer alternative to remaining outside overnight.
