Fall 2026 Tax-Forfeited Land Online Auction
Ramsey County will hold an online auction for properties forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of property taxes beginning Oct. 26 through Nov. 30, 2026.
The public sale will be conducted online through the Minnesota Department of Administration, Fleet & Surplus Division on the MNBid website.
Productive Properties will sell tax-forfeited parcels to the highest bidder, but not for less than the appraised value together with certified special assessments after forfeiture.
Terms and Conditions of Sale
The sale will be governed by the Terms and Conditions of Sale approved by the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners.
Key terms include:
- Properties will be sold to the highest bidder, but not for less than the appraised value.
- Sales are cash only and are not available on contract-for-deed terms.
- If the property is residential with four or fewer residential units, or is unimproved property containing a structure, the purchaser must intend to:
- own and occupy the property as a residence, or
- use the property for noncommercial personal use.
Unsold Parcels
Any parcels for which no bid is received during the public sale may be rebid for purchase beginning:
Dec. 1, 2026, and will close on Dec. 11, 2026.
