Nov. 3 is Election Day

Election Day is almost here! On Election Day, voters must vote at their assigned polling place. Look up your polling place in advance because it may have changed since you last voted.
- Polling places will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Find your polling place or view your sample ballot.
- Need to register? You can register to vote on Election Day with proof of identification and residence.
- Still have your absentee ballot? Absentee ballots must be returned to the Ramsey County Elections Office by 5 p.m. on Election Day. In-person delivery is recommended, as it may be too late for your ballot to arrive by mail. For absentee ballots delivered in-person, Minnesota law requires that the voter personally make the delivery, with limited exceptions.
Early voting options
You can still vote before Election Day at several locations throughout Ramsey County. Find early voting hours and locations.
Extended early voting hours are available Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. View early voting wait times before you go.
Can’t get to the polls? Eligible voters may be able to authorize an individual to pick up and return an absentee ballot for them. This service is available only within the seven days preceding an election. Learn how you can vote by agent.
Who is allowed in a polling place? Are federal monitors?
State law (Minnesota Statutes 204C.06) limits who may be inside a polling place during voting hours. Ramsey County enforces this law by preventing unauthorized individuals, including federal election monitors, from entering polling places. Authorized individuals include election judges, voters who are voting or registering, individuals assisting certain voters and other persons specifically authorized by law.
Unauthorized individuals, including federal monitors, must keep a distance of 100 feet from the building in which a polling place is located.
All Election Judges are trained to enforce Minnesota law.
When will results be available?
Ramsey County follows a strict set of standard procedures for collecting, compiling and reporting election results to ensure the security and accuracy of each election. As a result, the final results will not be available until all polling places in the county have successfully and securely returned their materials to the Elections Office. This timeline varies depending on Election Day turnout.
Once available, results will be posted on the Secretary of State’s election results page.
