Homeless Prevention Assistance

If you or your family are seeking emergency shelter please visit the Housing Services and Support page for assistance.

There are several short-term financial assistance resources available to Ramsey County residents in order to prevent or resolve homelessness due to past due rent, mortgage and/or utilities. Residents may apply through Ramsey County and/or find a local community program to assist them with a household crisis. 

Eligibility 

  • Must be a Ramsey County resident.
  • Must have income that is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
  • At risk of homelessness or currently homeless.

How to apply

The ability to assist you or your household depends on meeting program eligibility criteria and funding available.

Housing Court Summons for eviction

If you have an upcoming court appearance for eviction, community organizations will be present on your court date to see if you qualify for financial help to assist you. Please be sure to request the “financial clinic” when you arrive.
